When it comes to choosing your wedding makeup, it’s crucial to consider more than just colors and products.

For me, Jennifer Persévérante, a passionate professional makeup artist, makeup is much more than just an enhancement, it’s an expression of your personality and unique style.

Visualize Your Perfect Day

I always begin by guiding my brides to visualize their special day.

Imagine yourself in front of the mirror, in your dress, feeling that unique emotion that only this moment can evoke.

It’s from this emotion that we will begin to build the perfect makeup, one that not only enhances your beauty but also makes you feel truly yourself.

Choosing the wedding dress is often a strong indicator of your overall style for the day.

The dress sums up the essence of what you want to express and feel, and the makeup should align with this vision.

The environment, the season, and even the flowers you will carry are also key elements that we will take into account to define the ideal makeup.

Find Inspiration

I often advise my brides to draw inspiration from beauty looks seen at "red carpet events," such as award ceremonies (Oscars, Golden Globes, Cannes).

Celebrities showcase elaborate beauty looks, often created by the best makeup artists in the world. These events are a great source of inspiration for glamorous and sophisticated looks.

Unlike the often overly retouched images on Instagram or Pinterest, these looks are designed to be worn live, just like your makeup will be on the big day.

We can then find examples that match your skin tone, hair, and eye color.

Prepare the Ground: Trials and Questions

Makeup trials are an essential step in preparing for your wedding.

It’s not just a rehearsal, but a moment to explore different options, refine your preferences, and ensure everything is perfect for the big day.

During this phase, I always make sure to ask you the right questions to better understand your desires:

  • Do you want a natural look, or would you prefer something more elaborate?
  • Do you enjoy wearing red lipstick or prefer more subtle shades?
  • What is your usual style: matte or radiant?

These questions help me pinpoint your preferences and create makeup that truly reflects you.

Makeup Styles: Finding the One That Suits You

There are several makeup styles for weddings, and it’s essential to choose one that reflects your personality. Here are some popular styles that we could explore together:

Timeless Glamour: If you’re drawn to spectacular looks, with full contouring, defined highlights, and voluminous lashes, the glamour style could be your best ally to shine on your big day.

Natural Makeup: For brides getting married in the summer or preferring a more understated look, natural makeup is ideal. This style emphasizes your beauty without overdoing it, with subtle touches that give you a fresh and radiant glow.

Natural Glam: If you want a balance, natural glam could be perfect. This style uses neutral tones to create an elegant and refined look, without bold shades.

Your Skin, Your Makeup, Your Wedding

Your skin type should never be a barrier to achieving the look you desire.

With tailored techniques, such as “pinpoint concealing” to hide imperfections (such as acne) without overloading your face with products, we can create makeup that enhances your natural beauty while meeting your specific needs.

Wedding makeup is a crucial element to enhance your appearance and reflect your personality on the big day. My goal is to guide you through every step of this process so that you feel beautiful, confident, and most importantly, true to yourself.

Remember, the most important thing is to stay natural and choose makeup that reflects you, making you feel good in your own skin. It’s your day, and your beauty should be revealed, not transformed.
