The first thing you learn in makeup training is that the eyebrow is the hat of the gaze.

So, it’s time to take care of it!

A quick explanation: ladies, an eyebrow supports your gaze, gives it character, intensifies it, or softens it. Thus, it is essential to pamper your eyebrows!

The shape of the eyebrow

  1. It is often said that the "head" of the eyebrow should end at the edge of the nostril. Well, that's false! Some people have what are called "wide" nostrils, and using this as a reference to start your eyebrow would be a mistake. The line would start too late, and your eyebrows would be too far apart. Instead, use the starting point of the nostril at the bridge of the nose, and the inner corner of the eye as a reference.

  2. The eyebrow should form a more or less pronounced arch. When looking straight ahead, start from the nostril, pass through the circle formed by the iris, and you'll find where to place your arch. (It's easier with the diagram!)

  3. Eyebrows are often too short. Start from the nostril, passing through the outer corner of the eye, and stop your eyebrow at the point you find.

Tools to shape your eyebrows

Let’s talk tools; for the brush, of course: an angled brush (Mac, Bobbi Brown, Sigma are the best options).

Here’s a tutorial to help you visualize how to position your brush (flat or tilted):

Note the brush positioning to create the "Lebanese-style" eyebrow head.
